Tony Kaye - Senior Personal Finance Writer

I'm a Senior Public Relations Specialist and Senior Financial Writer for Vanguard Investments Australia, part of the global Vanguard Group which collectively manages over $12 trillion of investment assets on behalf of more than 50 million people worldwide. In my role I leverage my extensive corporate PR and media relations experience as well as the considerable skillsets I gained over many years working as a Senior Financial Journalist and Editor for a range of major Australian media companies. This entails collaborating with internal and external stakeholders including media on an ongoing basis to enhance Vanguard's reputation and visibility in the Australian market and to deliver timely and accurate communications and investor education. I have over 30 years of experience working in the financial services industry, including as a manager at credit ratings agency Standard & Poor's. As a financial journalist I held senior roles on The Australian Financial Review, The Herald-Sun and The Age/Sydney Morning Herald, and have been a financial contributor to The Australian for more than 20 years. I hold RG146 financial certification from Kaplan, a Bachelor of Arts (Journalism) from Curtin University, and a Public Relations Graduate Diploma from RMIT University.
