At Strategy First, our goal is to help you live a life that is true to your Values, as this is the key driver behind financial wellbeing, peace of mind and a sense of purpose. As investors, we can make decisions around how we invest our money that can drive change. In more recent history, we have seen the emergence of ‘ESG’ investing. - **Environmental** – reducing emissions, renewable energy, climate focussed. - **Social** – avoid what is considered bad for society, such as gambling, child labour and tobacco. - **Responsible Corporate Governance** – using voting rights to promote responsible management and leadership behaviour, advocating appropriate executive remuneration and creating value for shareholders. Our passion for each of these areas often sits on a spectrum. When thinking about how we invest our money, we find that most people who want to invest in line with an ‘ESG’ framework would do so only if it is not to the detriment of their investment outcomes and the goals their wealth is aiming to achieve. Here at Strategy First, we believe there is a way to invest for good, without having to sacrifice the key pillars of a robust Investment Philosophy – highly diversified, low cost and tax efficient.
